The News Changes. Your Daily Choices Matter Even More.

The conversations around glyphosate, pesticides, and our food supply have left a lot of people asking the same question:

“What does this actually mean for me?”

Here’s what it means, from my perspective. Several years ago I came across a study that completely changed how I think about pesticide exposure. Researchers measured pesticide markers in people’s bodies while they ate their normal diet. Then they switched participants to organic food for just six days.

When they tested again, pesticide markers had dropped dramatically, many by 60 – 95%.

The part that changed my thinking wasn’t just the number. It was why it happened.

Our bodies are capable of clearing many pesticides. The problem is that we don’t stop being exposed. Day after day, small amounts are added back through the foods we eat.

Some good news?? When exposure pauses, the body catches up.

Over the past week, we’ve seen more headlines about glyphosate, pesticide regulations, and the safety of our food supply. Those conversations matter, and subsequently, this is where I believe it’s important to keep our focus.

Headlines create awareness. Healthy habits create change. My goal is to help you bridge the gap.

So here’s what the current conversations about pesticides mean – and what they don’t.

What it means: We should continue paying attention to the growing body of research and recognize that reducing unnecessary exposures is one meaningful way to support our long-term health.

What it doesn’t mean: You need to panic, throw away all your food, or buy everything organic overnight.

Here’s what you can do today:
✔️ Choose organic versions of the foods with the highest pesticide residues whenever you can.
✔️ Wash all produce well.
✔️ Filter your drinking water.
✔️ Prepare more meals at home using whole foods.

Those small choices add up over time.

Government policy may change. Our ability to make informed choices at home doesn’t.
